Meet “Fronda”! Crafted by the creative team at @Leroysplace, Fronda is a 15’ tall swamp monster puppet built from reclaimed and recycled mateirals. Inspired by the larger than life traditions of Mardi Gras and techniques of parade puppetry, Fronda is activated by 3 puppeteers bringing her ‘sparkling personality’ to life. Come visit Fronda on festival grounds for a photo-op, and even get a chance to try puppeteering her! Fronda is so excited to travel from her swampy home in New Orleans to the Bayou Bon Vivant Festival! Don’t miss her in action!
Inspired by the open-air games of New Orleans’ French Quarter, this walk-up-and-play experience brings spontaneous, social chess to Bayou Bon Vivant. Pull up a chair, challenge a fellow player, and enjoy the game the way it was meant to be, face-to-face, and full of spirit!
