Mercury Landing is located in the direct center of the park, and is situated adjacent to Mercury Dock- one of the historic "Dunmore Docks" along the Elizabeth River. "Mercury" is the name of one of the ships in the fleet of British Lord Dunmore 1775-1776. Mercury Landing features a large circular paved plaza that hosts open air and covered performances, ceremonies, and dockside programs adjacent to ships docked at Mercury dock.
