About the Wine ClassicFor 30 years, the Town Point Virginia Fall Wine Festival has delighted Virginia wine lovers with an outstanding array of wineries and vintages to enjoy. Now, for the first time, Virginia wineries - whether participants in the festival or not, will be honored for wines they submit to the Town Point Virginia Wine Classic. The wine classic follows in the tradition set by the late Dr. Roy Williams, an oenophile luminary, who hosted a wine competition for years before his passing. The Town Point Virginia Wine Classic is a new event in partnership with Norfolk Festevents, presenters of the wine festival, and Virginia Eats + Drinks Magazine, a statewide publication showcasing the good eats and good drinks of the commonwealth.Magazine publisher, Patrick Evans-Hylton, is the wine classic chair.
