How to plan the perfect Virginia Wine Country getaway? Which Virginia wine varietals truly shine? What Virginia wines should be on your holiday table? Which wines pair best with Virginia’s signature seafood - oysters? How to make the most of a wine tasting.
Imagine having your own personal wine expert to talk to - for free - to discuss these topics and more.
You will at The Somm Salon, presented by Patrick Evans-Hylton and Virginia Eats + Drinks Magazine at the 29th Annual Virginia Town Point Wine Festival.
Come both Saturday, Oct. 15 and Sunday, Oct. 16 from 11:30 pm – 3:30 pm and talk with guest sommeliers and other wine professionals about a variety of Virginia wine topics; it’s free to festival attendees.
The area is BYOB, but your cup will runneth over with great information in this one-of-a-kind offering. There will be takeaways, too, including a free guide with all sorts of tips to make the most of the sips.
Stop by and ask Patrick for tips on what to sample and purchase during the festival… bring your newly discovered “favorite” wine from the festival over to Patrick to discuss the perfect pairings for your next gathering.
Virginia’s Secretary of Taste and Festevent’s own culinary consultant, Patrick Evans-Hylton, will be available all day; wine experts will be on hand from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 pm - come and visit anytime.
